Dr. Lydia Brodie
@joingrowco
Not Your Standard 6 Week Check (postpartum rehab)
When it comes to postpartum care, the majority of mothers are sent home with nothing more than a peri bottle and instructions to “rest.” You’re left to navigate your recovery entirely on your own, without any insight into how pregnancy and delivery will impact your health in the future. The traditional healthcare system provides better rehab protocols for sprained ankles than mothers after birth. This is no longer acceptable. It’s time we support mothers in their healing. Dr. Lydia Brodie believes that women’s health care needs a rebirth and this action starts during the motherhood phase. At GrowCo, we believe moms deserve more than just a 6-week checkup when it comes to recovery after childbirth. GrowCo experts fill that gap by providing a comprehensive postpartum checkup and progressive healing through exercise targeting the core, pelvic floor and total body. Our methodology is aimed at preventing, reducing, and/or resolving symptoms women have been made to think are an inevitable consequence of childbirth.

Moms & Creators
Our two mom rainbow family includes two rescue dogs, Coyote & Ariel & our soon to be 2 year old daughter, Alaia. We live in Toronto, Canada. Our shared passion is to open minds and hearts in order to contribute to social change and spread love in the world. We started documenting our journey together on IG in July 2020. The purpose was to have a family photo album and keep connected with our family around the world. Within a couple of months of having our account, we received feedback from followers from around the world expressing support in us sharing our story and for normalizing gay families. We acknowledge that we live in an accepting community (bubble) in Toronto. However, many people globally are not able to live authentic and transparent lives because of fear. Making our story public is our way of contributing to change while inspiring others to live an active life. We hope to continue to be a source of positivity and inspiration.
